Full HD video recording
– The EOS 500D combines exceptional photo performance with the ability to record Full HD (1080p) videos. For occasions that require storing many sequences on the memory card, users can choose to record in 720p or VGA resolution. An HDMI connection allows High Definition playback of videos and photos on any HDTV.

High ISO setting for low lighting conditions
– When the available lighting decreases, the EOS 500D offers a sensitivity range of up to ISO 3200 and can be extended to ISO 12.800 for environments where flash usage is impossible.

DIGIC 4
– The Canon DIGIC 4 processor works in synergy with the CMOS sensor to ensure 14-bit image processing to ensure subtle shades and natural colors.
